Milling our own Wheat Flour
My (dear sweet wonderful) husband bought me the attachment for the Kitchen Aid, for milling. Now I can buy whole wheat berries, grind them, and make fresh wheat bread. Which, is what I did!!!!
A few things to learn;
A C of wheat berries does not equal a cup of flour. It makes more.
The flour is so fresh is almost smells like rising bread, without yeast.
It will rise higher than all purpose bread.
It makes the softest bread, it was almost cake consistency.
There is no preservative. So either, make as you go. Or make and store in fridge or freezer.
The whole berries will last forever on the shelf.
This, is, AMAZING!!!!!
