Vet skills on the farm

Some of our baby meat chickens were pecked so badly they almost lost their tails.
So my husband and son built a second coop. Koral, the little ones and myself geared up for some chicken care. We made a first aid kit, everyone got blue latex gloves and we worked as a team. Twenty one bruised and busted up chickens needed care, but it felt like just a few because these girls worked so well.

What a wonderful lesson to give my girls. To take care of an animal, to take full responsibility of that animal, to keep them safe and well fed.
